A Week in Greece:
The Itinerary We'd Actually Take

7-day Greece itinerary, Acropolis of Athens at sunset

We get asked for a 7-day Greece itinerary so often that we wanted to share what the week would feel like if we were the ones living it.

This isn’t a logistics guide or a timetable: it’s the emotional journey we’d love for you to feel, one we take care of down to the last detail so all you have to do is enjoy it.

Day 1: landing in another time

Your first contact with Athens always catches you off guard: the modern city and the ancient site exist side by side, with no barriers between them. According to Visit Greece, that coexistence of ancient history and modern city life is exactly what makes Athens such a singular destination. A quiet afternoon wandering Plaka is enough to start feeling that contrast, without any first-day rush.

Day 2: the Acropolis, with all its context

This is the day we most love preparing for our travellers. We start at the Acropolis Museum, so that by the time you climb up to the site, you’re not just looking at stones, but at everything they represent. According to the museum itself, understanding the original pieces first completely changes how the Parthenon reads afterwards. We close the day with sunset over the Parthenon, the moment that, without exception, stays with our travellers the longest.

Day 3: Delphi, a day that feels different

Delphi isn’t just another stop, it’s a complete change of register: from the city to Mount Parnassus, from the buzz of Athens to the silence of a sanctuary that was, for centuries, the spiritual centre of the Greek world. It’s one of those travel days people remember most clearly months later, precisely because it feels unlike anything else in the itinerary.

Day 4: the rhythm of the real Athens

After two intense days, we slow things down. Neighbourhoods like Koukaki, away from the tourist buzz, reveal the Athens that actually lives in this city. It’s the day that’s planned least on paper and enjoyed most in the moment.

Day 5: The highlight at Cape Sounion

We save this day for last for a reason: for us, it’s the best possible way to close a week in Greece. Watching the sun set over the Temple of Poseidon, with the Aegean opening out to the horizon, has an effect that’s hard to explain until you live it.

Day 6: the day you decide

We always leave room for the unexpected: revisiting a place you fell for, discovering something new at a slower pace, or simply resting. A good 7-day Greece itinerary isn’t a fixed agenda, it’s a framework that adapts as the trip unfolds.

Day 7: an unhurried goodbye

We keep the last morning for winding down the trip calmly, with no last-minute rushing. It’s a small detail, but it’s the difference between finishing a trip exhausted and finishing it wanting to come back.

7-day Greece itinerary, what you need to know

Do you organise all the transfers and timings?

Yes, that’s exactly what we do: you enjoy the trip, we make sure every day fits together without friction.

Can the pace be adapted for children or reduced mobility?

Yes, we adjust timings and activities depending on who’s travelling, something we handle case by case when planning with you.

Can the itinerary be extended if I want more days?

Of course, we adjust the length and pace to what you’re after; tell us your dates and we’ll design it together.

Our honest recommendation

We don’t believe in generic itineraries that try to cram everything in. We believe in a journey with soul, well organised, that lets you feel each place without worrying about timings, transfers or bookings. That’s what we take care of.

Tell us the dates you have in mind and we’ll design your week in Greece together:
